What's in your mind when you heard word "marriage"? Wedding party, living together with your partner, sharing life & house, have kids, become a husband/wife, etc. Yeah, that's all about marriage, and that's what people think about marriage. In fact, now, I think marriage is more known as legality. Legality for living together, legality fot having sex, legality for having kids (without people around us murmuring gossip about you). As I understand now, marriage is more like just a piece of paper with your signature on it from religious affairs office.
"Marriage is just
a piece of paper." (Bella Swan, Eclipse, 2010)
Understanding of marriage become too
shallow now. Most people think that when we get that sacred paper we have a
"great complete perfect" life because we just married. But marriage
is not as simple as like that, marriage is more like spirit and soul. The most
important thing in marriage is not the legality paper, but the unite between
two hearts, two minds, two soul, two body, the feeling of connection, feeling
of togetherness, not only about love.
Now I understand why our ancestors
always said that marry when you're ready. Yes, get married when your ready,
when your soul ready to meet another soul, when your ready to merge your soul
with your partner soul and make a wonderful connection. You're ready not just
because you bored to be alone, not just because you want sex, not just because
you want a baby, not just because you catch by an expired date of your uterus,
not just because your religion told you to do that.
So what do you think? Which one is more
important? Legality or the merge of the soul?
I guess you know my answer :)
