That Awkward Moment When......

That awkward moment when............

You don't know how to reply to a really sweet text.
You can't decide if you're sad or mad.
You can't stop laughing while telling a joke.
Your kindness is mistaken for flirting.
You try to exit through a closed glass door.
You try to high five someone and you both miss.
The sky is falling and Justin Bieber and Chris Brown are not right next to you.
Your sarcasm is so advanced people actually think you are stupid.
You are stalking someone's Instagram photos and you accidentally double click it.
Someone uses a word that you have never heard before.
Someone you hate says something funny and you try not to laugh.
Someone is getting accused for something you did.
You're eating dinner at someone else's house and you don't like the food, but you have to pretend to like it.
You're in a lift with someone fat and they catch you staring at the weight limit sign.
You wake up before your friend at their house and have no idea what to do to pass time until they wake up.
Someone compliments you and you can't find anything to compliment them on.
Someone tells you how much they hate someone, and then the next day they're best friends.
The one who always starts drama claims they hate drama.
Someone says, "We should hang out.." But you really don't want to hang out with them.
You see something you like, check the price tag, then slowly walk away.
You're making faces in the mirror, then you realize someone is looking.
You are starting at someone cute and they look right back at you.
You say something about someone and they are standing right next to you.
Nobody thinks your joke is funny, but it's actually the most hilarious thing ever.
Two people realize they’re perfect for each other but have no feelings for each other.
You get out of the shower and you don't have a towel.
You look into a car window and realize someone's looking back at you.
Awkwardly standing there while your friend is talking to someone you don't know.
You are supposed to be serious but you just can't stop laughing for some unknown reason!
You forget your own password.
You almost remember something. Almost.
You forget to bring cash when you just ordered something.
In cashier when your cards don't work and you have nothing left in your pocket.
You almost sneeze but couldn't.
You're in a bad mood and people around you make you angry.
You make eye contact with the person you're trying to avoid.
You tell a really funny joke but no one laughs and you need to explain them what you really mean.
Your phone rings but you don't know where the hell it is.
You woke up from a nightmare, sweating.
You call your friend the loudest yet they don't listen, then everyone starts staring at you.

Random Thought

Seseorang bertanya sama gue, “Kenapa ga suka sama dia? Kan tipe kamu tuh.” Ehem. Dan gue tiba-tiba keinget sama satu buku, dimana isinya begini…

“I used to think that finding the right one was about the man having a list of certain qualities. If he has them, we'd be compatible and happy. Sort of a check mark system that was a complete failure. But I found out that a healthy relationship isn't so much about sense of humor or intelligence or attractive. It's about avoiding partners with harmful traits and personality types. And then it's about being with a good person. A good person on his own, and a good person with you. Where the space between you feels uncomplicated and happy. A good relationship is where things just work. They work because, whatever the list of qualities, whatever the reason, you happen to be really, really good together.”

Am I Going To Regret This?

I’ve realized lately how easy it is to regret something you’ve done in your life. Whether it is a simple decision you made or if it was life altering, you never really know the effect is going to give you until quite sometime after. Well, I am not really a person of regrets, as much as I hate how cliche that sounds, I think that every little thing happens the way it’s supposed to for a reason we may not see at the time but will come clear to us eventually.

And I’ve found myself asking the question: “Am I going to regret this?” more often than I ever have lately before I do something. Yet, I have also noticed that sometimes I take a risk not caring how it will affect me later, simply because life is short and you should take some risks.

If I have any advice to offer about decision making, I would definitely recommend taking a second to think about the effect that it will have on you. You’ll find yourself more at peace when you know that you took the time to contemplate what the right thing to do is.

Oh, and if you are thinking about a specific decision you need to make while reading this, which I know you are ;) I think you should take the risk, because frankly it’s better to live and learn. No one’s perfect, remember that.

It’s crazy how your entire future is made on small decisions you make every day.

There are Those Days...

There are those days.. ah, just those darn days! Nothing works as planned, or even worse, everything works exactly the opposite. And there’s no plan B, C, or D, for that matter. You see no way in which things can get better and the deadline was yesterday. You hate that ringtone you used to love, just because it’s stuck in your brain non-stop now and you can’t even tell when it really rings or it’s just your imagination.

Best thing you can do is go home, turn off the phone and grab a good book. Get comfortable in bed. This is what I do. It works. For a short time, but it does. Otherwise you might be tempted to cook and burn down the kitchen, or shop and spend all your money. Or maybe accept that dating invite from God, He knows whom you’ve been hiding from.

Dear You

When you ask me how my day was, I love it when you actually LISTEN. And I really love it when you come up behind me and put your arms around me when I'm sad, or stressed, or having a bad day.

I want you to buy me little gifts, just because. A single rose. A surprise Strawberry Cheese from Starbucks.

I want you to have goals and dreams and ambition. You don’t have to have tons of money or drive a fancy car or shower me with extravagant gifts…but I want you to be passionate and driven to achieve something. I want to know that you’re willing to challenge yourself and reach for something greater. Even if you don’t catch it. (I’ll be there even if you don’t catch it).

I want you to have your own space to grow and become and dream. I want you to respect my space to grow and become and dream. I don’t need to be with you every single second of every single day. I want there to be healthy spaces in our togetherness.

I want you to be my best friend, my safe haven, my calm in the storm, a shoulder to cry on, the killer of the spiders, the assembler of bookshelves when the only instructions that came with them are in Greek.

(Important): I want you to love God more than you love me. I want you to seek Him more than you seek me. I want you to pray with me, and worship next to me in church, and remind me of how much God loves me when I’ve forgotten.
